Furious and frenetic
The pace of the action in Furious Car Racing is understandably fast for a game which focusses on straight line speed. Furious it may be, but with so many car racing games out there what is so special about this particular one? Firstly, this is not a game which is all about driver skill. You will need to build your car in order to make progress so you had better start winning a few races and earning some coins. Even if you cannot afford the latest drag car upgrade, then you can spend some time tuning your vehicle so that it offers the right amount of power. All sorts of cars are available within the game – just take one to your garage to see what you can do to improve its racing potential. Start at the rookie level taking on other racers at your pace and progress all the way up to pro-level, where the top racers are to be found, in career mode. Alternatively, opt for the game's underground mode and take on other racers in head-to-head battles.
A zooming success?
For a free game, Furious Car Racing offers a good deal, but there are plenty of annoying adverts to put you off keep coming back. For serious fans, the in-app purchases will offer a shortcut to upgrading. It is rated at Pegi 3.
